I stayed in a serviced apartment………
How do you rent out your property as a serviced accommodation and get maximum rent from it?
Well, you’ve got to list it on sites such as booking.com and Tripadvisor which are online travel agencies as you can literally get a property that’s a normal house and list them to get clients.
Some of these properties we use for conferencing or vacations are just houses and not hotels such as the one we stayed at with my wife.
I’ve got a friend who’s got a hotel that’s actually just an apartment and he doesn’t even own the apartment as he rents the apartment in an apartment block but then has got a management agreement which states that he can list it on booking.com and therefore, what he does is, pays the landlord a guaranteed rent each month and then lists it on booking.com to rent it out for profit.
You can literally list your property on booking.com as it’s not that difficult and if you want to make sure that your property comes up at the top, you just have to get lots of which you may request from your guests to leave you kind reviews on your listings.
Serviced accommodation is a really good way to get a lot of cash flow because it’s like a hotel without staff.
I booked a stay at one of my friend’s house from booking.com as I went with the amazing Amanda Leeds as we were going to be staying in his apartment and did know what to expect since we’ve never been to the house before.
We only went for a single night and never carried a lot of clothing as what i love about served accommodation is how you don’t have to delay around waiting to check in even though you’ve booked, and most of the time, paid for the service.
We got all the key safe codes via email after booking the apartment on booking.com because everything is automated hence making the process a smooth one. You kind of do everything from the comfort of your own home without having to visit any offices every now and then.
All in all, we arrived at the house and everything was great as we were directed where to go via a map at the premises. The apartment was honestly no different from a hotel as it was gorgeously good looking and even better to some extent.
The apartment was a two-bedroom house and the crazy thing is that it had two beds but these beds were zip beds and so you can put them together and zip them up and if we went with another couple that wanted to share a bed, then they could put the two beds together and zip them up as they can be whatever you want them to be.
If we were staying in a hotel, we’d just be in a little bedroom that would be a little cramped but now, we got a bigger bedroom and a lot of space as compared to the hotel space. Every single place in the apartment was on point.
And to put the industry into perspective, did you know that right now 8% of greater London is into serviced accommodation?
My overall rating of the apartment was 10 out of 10 and I believe he really nailed it by making it nice looking.
