Winner Anthony sparkled in £20k property contest!

A Staffordshire man has been showered in champagne in scenes reminiscent of a Grand Prix win after scooping £20,000 in an Apprentice-style property investing contest.

Anthony Wilmott fought off fierce competition from the nation’s top budding entrepreneurs to win property related contest ‘The Eviction’, held at Caverswall Castle.

The 33 year old celebrated his triumph at a Stafford steakhouse with his partner Demi. He said: “My partner and brother were rooting for me big time. to be honest my main aim before I went in was to just avoid being evicted in the first round, but my parents had more confidence in me. My mom just kept telling me I could win this! This has been a phenomenal, life-changing experience!”

Anthony and 12 other contestants lived in the 13th century moated castle for 3 weeks, taking on a series of challenges, designed to test their skills and knowledge to the limit. One of the toughest rounds involved finding and pitching ‘live’ property deals  to high profile investors from the property and financial worlds. Another task had them getting their hands dirty by doing-up two properties in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

On the final day the last two standing were summoned to Hilton Hall where Property Investors is based. They were summoned to the boardroom to present a business plan to chairman Samuel Leeds, a multi-millionaire property developer, detailing how they would invest his £20,000 gift.

Aided by his brother Russell Leeds, CEO of Property Investors, and business partner Alasdair Cunningham, Samuel grilled the pair on their investment plans.
